Project 33 Days - Day 15
Saturday, Home9 hours of sleep and I think I may have slept longer if I weren't hungry. 9 hours, no alarms, no reason to rush anywhere, no appointments. Everyone here agreed today would be a "Gammeltag" or just a hang out day.The Boyz had a week of camp which went well. The last two days they both came home and took showers immediately as there had had a camp fire and everything smelled of smoke. But they had fun, so today was to be without schedule. So I slept 9 and Jonny had about 12 and even after that I still had to wake him. He was still really tired. Guess this is what summer holidays are about. Looking at the title of this post '15' days still to go. After day '1' comes we will be on location in North Carolina somewhere still yet to be planned. Reminds me that Philip still has some logistics to complete. But rest, for the mind and for the body is needed and not just for me.Today is the start of this years Tour de France. I have had a different year when I comes to professional bike racing. Usually I enjoy spending my Sunday's in the spring watching the classics and then the first tours in Italy and Switzerland. This year as I am just tired of the doping scandals have hardly watched more than the news reports in the evening or read the results on the web. But the TdF is something special, full of spectacle, history and just the biggest race of the year. So, today is the start, different from the norm. There is no prologue or time trial but a normal stage race. My question still to be answered, how much time will I spend in front of the TV? We will know more tomorrow.
