First full day on Mallorca

Saturday, 17. MarchI slept well. Somewhere around 10pm I just feel asleep with the tv running. Guess someone came in and switched it off sometime. 9 hours later I rolled over and realized where I was. Yes, alone in a room with the contents of my suitcase on the bed next to me. Pulled the blinds open and was welcomed by the sun, the palms blowing in the wind outside my window. Yes, it is windy today as well. Perhaps more than yesterday.I plan on 'trying' to take it easier today. I feel good this morning, sure I feel the ride in my legs still but nothing too bad. I feel more the wind and the sun on my face more. Having really parched me so now I need more cream and something for my lips as well. But today's ride will take me north, northwest from here past Palma the main city. The wind will be my hills today. The 500 meters from yesterday were enough to start. There are still 7 more rides here to complete.Breakfast was with 200+ seniors, nothing wrong with that but I feel lost in this crowd. Obviously not high season yet. 3 rolls with ham and cheese, 2 poached eggs, yoghurt and two sausages, guess that is enough to load up for the day. Never eat that much in the mornings. But I am not here to diet, need 4000 calories to make up for the energy already spent. Yum, yum.It was another great ride. I did not follow my original plan of a bit easier today. It ended up longer and higher than yesterday's ride. I thought at one point, what's the rush? There is no one at the hotel waiting on me. I have absolutely nothing else to do but shower, wash the clothes and eat a lot. So, why not take the extra loop up into the hills. It was a good decision too.

Now having done the few things I need to do I am hungry. My post-ride treat is nice but I need more substance. Ernst has arrived so that brings life into the meals and that is good. There is a queue waiting at the door of the restaurant. I could take a picture but it would be....oops. Doors opened, there goes the crowd.
