How I Shared Online Growth Hacks With the Next Generation of Translators

The digital wave waits for no one

It's up to us to ride it and make the most out of it

As someone well down the path of a digital career, I recently took a step back to remember the early days—the exhilaration of learning new concepts, the thrill of cracking the code of online growth.

I was transported back to that time when I was asked to deliver a 90-minute session to a group of bright-eyed, eager students, just starting their journey into the world of translation.

Now, let me tell you, preparing for this session was no less than preparing for a major product launch. From ensuring the content was engaging, informative and relevant, to practicing the delivery to keep it entertaining, I was all nerves, which, in hindsight, was unnecessary.

After all, I was speaking to young adults at the beginning of their careers, and me, a digital veteran, had the privilege to share my experiences with them.

The session was a deep dive into the world of digital growth, specifically tailored for service-based businesses. But it wasn't a monologue of theories and concepts. It was an interactive discussion, interspersed with curious questions, enlightening exchanges, and laughter.

We cracked the code of online visibility, tackled the beast of reputation management, and explored the power of consistent messaging. From the foundation of a professional website to the art of social media engagement, we journeyed through the ten key strategies to grow a business online.

But here's the thing that made this session truly special: the questions.

"How much time should I spend on my Internet presence?"

"Should I start with my website now or wait till after graduation?"

These weren't just questions; they were insights into the curious minds ready to surf the digital world, and I had the pleasure of guiding them in the right direction.

"I WANT MORE SERVICE-ORIENTED COMPANIES TO BE SUCCESSFUL WITH THEIR ONLINE ACTIVITIES!"

The session flew by, but the impact it left was profound. Not sure about on the students, but it did on me. It was a reminder of the power of sharing knowledge, of guiding the next generation, and of the never-ending journey of learning.

So, if you're at the beginning of your career, or even well into it, remember this: the digital wave waits for no one. It's up to us to ride it and make the most out of it. And as I told my new translator friends, it's never too early or too late to start.

So, get on with it!

Grab that digital surfboard and ride the wave of online growth.

Trust me, it's worth it.
