Why I published this?
In 2022, I was asked by a conference interpreter based in Zurich, Switzerland, to help her expand her client base. We've known each other for years and even went to the same university. I taught English at the University of Mainz - Germersheim, where translation and interpreting are taught. So I know a thing or two about the business. I even married a translator!
Translation and interpreting are professional services that must be presented and promoted. As I have learned and experienced over the years, translators and interpreters are not natural marketers - ergo I helped a friend.
