One Year Later
It’s been over a year now as I am finally writing this post. I have been thinking about the last 15 months and now seeing an end of the “lockdown life” approaching. In a month I will have my vaccinated status and will feel more free to move around and visit people. I will finally get to do some of those things I had wanted to start last summer, until life changed.
Yesterday I made a restaurant reservation. Yeah, big deal, well it felt kinda strange looking at the website and getting excited to eat someone else’s food again. I love cooking and have cooked a lot this last year. Usually I travel pretty often and that gives me chance to eat out and about but not since last September have I eaten out. Good? Probably but certainly good for the wallet. I do look forward to eating out but even more seeing people again.
Plans are already coming together. I visit my barber for the first time since September later in July; 10 months…..it is about time. Then I have plans for visit Switzerland and The Netherlands in July/August as well as a 10 day holiday with my significant other in Bavaria. Booked in the Spring just hoping the situation would be better. It is. More plans are coming up and I am trying to remember how I make travel plans. Funny how quickly the brain forgets those tedious tasks. I am sure I will forget something on my first trip.
It’s been a year of ups and downs and honestly I could just about forget it.
