Gosh, it's been a while

I got an email from WordPress reminding me that I need to update the software it runs on. This is usually important as it has security fixes and sometimes new features as well. It is really easy to complete the update, just a button click or two, but when I do it I have to log into the blog site here. And that is a GOOD thing.It's been almost a year since I last posted here. That has been just too long. I have some many things to share, experiences I have made, pictures from places I have traveled to. Since the onset of social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and even TripAdvisor I find it extra work to come back here to also share. Problem is that some readers here are not connected to me on those other sites, and that is just fine.I am going to take stock over the holiday season at the end of the year and think how I want to best make use of this space while still sharing on other more ephemeral sites. If you have any thoughts, just let me know here in the comments or anywhere else. I'd love to hear from you. It has been a while. Nice, actually to be back.
