Email count after the holiday

Just finalizing my last weeks holiday…..sounds interesting eh?
I had the last week off. And how nice it was. I had people betting I would be working my many blogs and social “me’s” but I did not. I, for the most part stayed away. But now is Sunday evening and tomorrow is the return to the office and all that waits.
So, I am often worried about all the email which is waiting for me here. Since there is no more paper inbox in my office there is only email – and lots of that. So, there is this ‘fear’ of coming back to work after not reading any mail for over a week. Sure, the “out of office” message I set should have told the masses I am out and will not reply, but alas that does not work much anymore.
So I decided to take a different tack tonight; I logged in and cleared my inbox within an hour. Yes, it was an hour of my Sunday night which I lost but now I can sleep well knowing that there are no unseen monsters in there which will surprise me in the morning. Now I can sleep comfortably and easily enter the day tomorrow.
See how that now goes.
