Jetlagged into the final days

Boy, getting over jetlag while flying East is not easy. You'd think that I have done this dozen of times but each time this is rough. I got back here on Tuesday morning and now it is Thursday PM and I am still just getting over the effects.Race day is Monday. I am into the final preparations for the race - put on the race wheels, final check up of the gear and test rides. Things are looking good here. M@'s Trek is up for its next race. I am readying all the things needed for race day. All the stuff which is needed for all the changing conditions. And those are really a changin'.There is snow/sleet in the forecast for race day. This will be interesting. I have been riding often with the temps in the upper 30Fs so I got that ready but with the roads messy with ice? This might get really rough. There are over 3000 people entered into the race and many are certainly not the most experienced riders - much less in poor conditions.I am making the final checks. We are off to Cologne on Sunday and staying in the Holiday Inn there for the night. Some sightseeing then and then the prep for the next day. This is the beginning of the 2008 season for me and I am looking forward to it. Over three months of training have gone into this and it will be a good test of my current status. More from race day.Parrothead
